Founded by Bible teacher Jackie Oesch, CrossConnect Ministries writes, translates, and freely distributes Bible study materials into the languages of people asking for them — then stands with the believing communities who receive them.
It began with Bible studies — and grew into something more. Today, we walk with believing communities from the moment Scripture arrives to the day they stand on their own.
Jackie's Bible study curriculum is translated by native speakers into heart languages and distributed free of charge to communities asking for Scripture-based resources.
In Pakistan, where our village work began, indigenous field teams build relationships that span years — coming to know the physical realities facing believing families firsthand. No clean water. Limited food. Few paths forward.
Through Bread and Water of Life Ministries, we come alongside these communities with clean water wells, food packs, and livestock — easing burdens while families build toward self-sufficiency.
Believers stand firm — and become a living witness. Their neighbors see the difference and ask what changed. The Word that entered the community goes out through the lives of those who received it.
Two programs, one mission — Teaching God's word through Scripture and standing with new believers as they stand firm in the Gospel.
Bible studies written over five years to walk students through the major stories of Scripture — from Genesis to Acts. Translated by native speakers, distributed free, and now in 28+ languages through 192 local partners.
Christ leads us to feed those in need. Currently focused in Pakistan, our indigenous field teams walk alongside believing families — providing clean water, food packs, and livestock to ease burdens and build toward self-sufficiency. The model is designed to expand.
These are real families in our partner villages — people whose lives have been directly impacted by the generosity of CrossConnect donors.
Shawaiz is fighting cancer. Because of poverty and lack of resources, his parents are unable to provide proper timely medicine. They beg others for the sake of their son's life. CrossConnect helped his family with food and a goat.
Yousaf is paralyzed. He has no extra source of income. He has one daughter who had to stop school in 3rd grade because they couldn't afford it. CrossConnect helped his family with food and a goat.
Alice is a single mother with one child. She cleans homes and works in fields for food with no stable income. She is determined to educate her child. CrossConnect helped her with food packs and a goat.
Jackie Oesch saw that many believers — young parents especially — longed to teach their children about the Bible but didn't know the stories themselves. She spent five years writing the curriculum that would become CrossConnect's foundation.
Jackie wrote a Bible study curriculum that walks students through the major stories of Scripture — from Genesis to Acts — designed so that anyone, regardless of background, could discover and teach God's Word. The early studies were tested in small groups across U.S. congregations, where they proved themselves. But through personal contacts in China, Korea, and across Africa, it became clear the need was far greater abroad — especially among believers in languages that had no Scripture-based study materials at all.
For several years, our indigenous teams in Pakistan went village to village delivering Bible studies and audio recordings. But they kept finding the same thing: extremely poor believing communities without running water and very little food. When lockdowns hit, many families went hungry. The teams reported back — and we believed Christ was leading us to respond.
From those prayers came Bread and Water of Life Ministries — our program to come alongside carefully selected Pakistani villages and help meet their most basic needs. Water pumps drilled 80 feet deep. Food packs for each family every other month. Goats ready for breeding to build long-term sustenance. We are well aware that this does not meet every need — but it eases the burden, and these families know they are not forgotten. Our goal is to reproduce this model in other regions as the ministry grows.
Today, CrossConnect Ministries unites worldwide Bible study distribution and village partnership under one roof — because we have learned that the Word and physical care belong together. Bible studies reach 28+ languages across multiple countries. Five villages in Pakistan have reached self-sustainability, with a model built to expand.
This is not a large organization with layers of overhead. CrossConnect is a small, committed team that believes God's Word changes lives — and that believers facing hardship deserve both Scripture and sustenance. Every dollar is stewarded carefully and goes directly to the work.

When the hurtful words and actions of others cause us to live crippled and without hope, Jesus calls our name. Learn how valuable you are — you are worth full value to God the Father.
A chronological journey through Scripture in 16 studies — from Genesis to Acts. By Jackie Oesch.
God's desire for an intimate relationship with humankind was foiled by Satan's deceit and the disobedience of Adam and Eve. Genesis is our story — the epic drama of God's intervention and boundless love.
Abraham's story begins with the call of God to go and continues with the promise of God to bless him and his descendants. Discover God's blessing in your life as one He dearly loves.
Favoritism and deceit plague Isaac's family. In spite of all that goes wrong, God remains faithful to the covenant promise He made with Abraham.
Joseph lived liberated to forgive even though he was mistreated by his brothers and unjustly thrown into prison. God used their evil treatment to accomplish His righteous purposes.
God delivered His people from the tyranny of Egypt. He called Moses to be His appointed deliverer. Discover His passion to deliver all humanity from bondage.
The cycle of Israel's life: obedience then disobedience, God's punishment and their repentance. God's faithfulness continued to be tested but His commitment never wavered.
The time came for Israel to take possession of their inheritance. When the Ark of the Covenant moved out, the people followed.
Ruth loved the God of Israel. Samuel served the Lord. The people insisted on having a king — and Saul was anointed, though they rejected God and chose to rebel.
The life of David as shepherd and king, the decline of Solomon's reign, and the voices of Elijah and Elisha — all give witness to God's unfailing love.
Jonah, Daniel, Queen Esther — examples of God's activity even in oppressive captivity. Ezra and Nehemiah give the account of Israel's return to Jerusalem.
God's mission throughout history has been calling all humankind back. His only Son, our Champion, comes as a Baby and lives among us — the promised Messiah.
Jesus changed lives! Three biblical characters give witness as He brings Good News to three unlikely candidates for the Kingdom. He told parables that taught truths about the Kingdom of God.
The Father's story of His Son's suffering and death. Jesus' ride into Jerusalem, the betrayal of Judas, His arrest, trial, and crucifixion. He was innocent, the sinless Son of God.
Visit the tomb on Easter. Walk the road to Emmaus. Watch Jesus ascend and hear Him declare His mission — which has now become yours and mine.
The early church set out to go and make disciples. God's Holy Spirit was now at work in Peter, the Christian community, Stephen, and Philip. This same Spirit is active in our lives.
The one who once persecuted the Church now was the one persecuted. Yet Paul's faith remained strong and he persevered to the end. The Good News was intended for both Jews and Gentiles.
Every translation is done by native speakers who weave cultural expressions into the material. Each new language represents a community of believers gaining access to Scripture-based studies for the first time. All studies are available as free PDF downloads.

In Pakistan, our indigenous field teams delivering Bible studies kept finding the same thing: believing communities without running water and very little food. Christ led us to respond — and Bread and Water of Life Ministries was born to ease burdens one family at a time, with a model built to grow beyond Pakistan as the ministry expands.
We don't arrive with a checklist — we build relationships over years. Our indigenous field teams live in these communities, understand the needs, and walk with families toward lasting change.
Each food pack has enough food for one family for 15 days, delivered every other month. It is practical, consistent help families can count on while they work hard for their households.
Water pumps drilled 80 feet deep give a village fresh water for drinking, washing, hygiene, and sustaining plant and animal growth — replacing contaminated sources families relied on for generations.
We teach fresh hygiene, goat care, and sustainability — equipping families with the knowledge to thrive long after our partnership concludes. When a village is ready, we provide teddy goats for breeding toward independent sustenance.
Each Pakistani village is carefully selected by our indigenous field teams based on years of relationship. Every community is at a different stage on the path to self-sufficiency.
One of the first five villages to reach self-sustainability. Families now maintain their own water systems, food production, and livestock breeding.
Bible studies arrived two years ago. Water wells installed last spring. Food supply ongoing. Goat program beginning this quarter.
Our field teams have identified communities where the Word has already taken root but physical needs are urgent. Your partnership makes it possible.
We have real, human stories to tell. Every number represents a person, a family, a community that chose to stand firm.
At 43, Alice had spent decades walking miles for contaminated water. A CrossConnect well changed everything — and her neighbors are asking what's different about her family.
A small group of believers in rural Punjab received Scripture-based study materials in Punjabi for the first time. Now they lead a weekly gathering of 30 families.
After his father's illness, Shawaiz's family in Pakistan faced starvation. Two goats from CrossConnect's adoption program now provide milk and income. His faith — and his family — are stronger.
Alice was divorced because of black color. She is uneducated and has 1 child. She is willing to educate her child. She cleans homes and works in fields for food. She has no proper source of income. BWL has helped her with food packs and a goat.
Your partnership translates Scripture, provides clean water, and helps believing communities stand firm as witnesses to the Gospel.
Every dollar is stewarded carefully by a small team with minimal overhead. Choose a specific category, or give where it's needed most — your partnership goes to work immediately.
Flexible funds directed to the most urgent needs — whether that's a new translation, a water well, or food packs for a village family.
